The Long Lost Christmas Surprise...

Wanna hear a story?

Ok, so in typical fashion, my Mother, among other relatives of mine sent along a Christmas package full of presents from Washington state to here, this last December.

She was proud of herself even because she shipped it out at the beginning of the month, so it would certainly be here by the week of Christmas.

...Christmas came and went, other packages came, were opened and enjoyed, but still no sign. We waited patiently for it, as soon as mail service resumed after the holidays.

Meanwhile, Stateside my Mom is freaking out and totally upset over the 35 pound box that seems to have disappeared from the face of the planet. (no joke, that sucker weighed 35 pounds, folks.)
Finally on the 30th of December the notorious box finally arrived...

And quickly we saw a cause for it's prolonged absence, and the state in which it arrived proved how far it had really been...

Both sides were split open so wide we could see what wrapping paper my Mom had chosen before it was even opened...then we noticed all the new stickers this little baby earned along the way...

And that, my friends is how our awesome Christmas presents finally made their way to our door.

Wild, but totally true.
