Late last week, driving the country highway that takes him to work every day, a big rock jumped up and clipped the windshield of our car, with Hubs behind the wheel.
When we woke up the next morning, a barely discernible chip turned into a nice, ripe crack running across the lower half of he windshield.
Thankfully, the Hubs insists on shelling out the dough for some premium-level car insurance, that will pay for the whole pane to be replaced...which as the autoglass-man tells us, is necessary.
Now he also insists on gloating about the insurance plan he was adamant about us choosing.
Well played, Hubs. Well played.
Also, I'm on 'winter vacation' from Weegie class this whole week. Despite the fact that I would rather be in class, earning those last 20-odd hours and being done with them...what can I say?
The Weegies love a good vacation.
I do think that calling it 'winter' break is a little funny, as it is right around mid-March...although we do have snow in our weather forecast for the rest of the week.
Thank God for little blessings during lingering winter weather, like hot cups of tea, Kerouac paperbacks, snuggling puppies and sweet chili stir-fry on the menu for dinner tonight.
