A prayer during tragedy

I'm incredibly, deeply saddened...heartbroken really, hearing about the random, senseless acts of violence performed on children in schools around the world today...

In a small village in central China, someone went into an elementary school and fatally stabbed more than 20-children...

Then in Conneticut, USA, an armed gunman went into a K-Fourth grade elementary school and shot 27 people dead. 18 of them were students. Little children.

All I can do is hug my own daughter tight, cry, and plead to God to have mercy on his children. To provide comfort to the families of the victims that I'm sure are absolutely devasted...

Please join me in praying for comfort for the families of the children and school faculty members that were lost today...

If you're not a believer, send positive thoughts, light a candle in their memory, or find something that brings you comfort upon hearing about a tragedy of this caliber.

Lord Jesus, I pray for comfort and strength to all those affected by the violent episodes at the schools in both the US and China today. May they find hope in the name of Jesus and love and strength in your arms. Have mercy on your children on Earth, Heavenly Father. Protect our children and their teachers, Lord. Amen.
